SAGA Bridge Interim Repairs
State Project No. 0301-0177
The purpose of State Project No. 0301-0177 is to bring the SAGA River Railroad Bridge into a state of good repair (Bridge No. 08032R) until its scheduled rehabilitation or replacement. The age and condition of the structure, including the mechanical and electrical systems that operate the life spans over the navigational channel do not currently provide reliable operations.
The repair work is necessary to keep the structure under operation until a future repair, retrofit, or replacement can be performed. It is a relevant project related to the structure that is underway. The objective is to perform repairs/improvements to the mechanical and electrical systems to provide safe and reliable operation in the interim period until the bridge is replaced or rehabilitated.
